San Jose de Buenavista held 43rd Nutrition Month Culminating Activity last July 28, 2017 at Delegate Angel Salazar Jr. Memorial School with the theme: HEALTHY DIET, GAWING HABIT FOR LIFE.

During the activity there were inter-school Interpretative Dance and Draw Color and tell (Elementary and Secondary Level) Competitions. For the Interpretative Dance (Secondary Level), San Pedro National High School bagged the 1st prize and Antique National School got the 2nd prize, on the Elementary Level, Delegate Angel Salazar Jr. Memorial School seized the 1st prize, San Angel-Malaiba Elementary School (2nd prize) and Saint Anthony’s College (3rd prize).

For the Draw, Color and Tell (Secondary Level) Alliyah Faye N. Delgado (ANS) got the 1st prize, Lerchie Jamihla B. Delgado (SAC High School) took the 2nd prize and Sabrina Ambay of San Pedro National High School (3rd prize), and on the Elementary Level, Jasmin Lyka Atienza of DASJMS earnt the 1st prize, Kasandra Ysabelle Baldevia of Antique Christian Center Inc. (2nd prize) and Halley Rayven Rafols from Tubudan-Cansadan Elemetary School (3rd prize).

Present in the event was the supportive Mayor of San Jose de Buenavista, Engr. Elmer C. Untaran. In his message he emphasized that through the collaborative effort of the Local Government Unit and the Academic Institution, we can combat malnutrition as a critical problem of the municipality that may affect the performance of the children in school as well as for the community. In addition Municipal Mayor encouraged each and every body to embrace the 2017 Nutrition Month Celebrations’ Theme.

The School Heads from various Academic Institution, both public and private, were present during the celebration along with their teachers, participating students and parents as well.
